NY Times Fashion Slideshow →
What I really love about this slideshow is that I would wear any and all of the clothes in it. All of these designers have somehow struck a balance in between the artistic and the wearable. And it’s gorgeous. Definitely gonna check out more photos from these collections!

Jerusalem to Cairo...?
I’m planning on travelling this spring, and my travel plans right now include getting from Jerusalem to Cairo, among other things. I’ve been scouring the internet for recommendations of how to pull off this trip via bus or train but have largely been unable to find information that seems both recent and reliable. Does anyone have recommendations or suggestions about how to make this...

got the reading bug
and I really want to read “Valley of The Dolls” by Jacqueline Susann. It’s impossible to find online (and for free…). Somehow, though, I was able to find the Spanish translation…I knew that knowing Spanish would come in handy someday, haha. Why is it so much easier to find nonfiction than fiction??

Is there a fetish that involves being sick?
Yeah, I know, name ANYTHING and you can doubtless find at least one person on the planet who’s into it. But who decides what’s an “official fetish” and gets a fancy Latin-based name? Who turned it from “he likes getting it on with dead people” to “he has/exhibits necrophilia”? A national/international psychological board? So I guess my question is,...

My fencing club opens again tonight
This will be the first time in about 20 days that I’ll have fenced, and the first time in five months or so that I’ll be using MY OWN EQUIPMENT and not some smelly club jacket and no plastron and dubious body cords and too-small gloves and weapons with dumbass grips. SO EXCITED AAAAAAAAAHH so here’s a fencing pinup to get y’all as excited as I am ;D Happy Monday!

Heroes
I was reading (another) article about the shooting in Arizona on Saturday. This was the first article that mentioned the three people who had bodily overwhelmed the gunman. And when I read that, I thought, fuck, those are heroes. I cannot even comprehend how brave their actions were, and I can only hope that if I am ever in a similar situation, I will find it in me to act as they did. But we...
